Worked OVERTIME during Typhoon Signal No.8

It was my first experience witnessing a Typhoon Signal No.8 hitting Hong Kong, heavy rain with super strong wind which will stop you from walking, blow up the tree root and it's just too dangerous to be outside as you might be hit by any flying object anytime.
I was in the middle of training at Cathay City when the whether broadcast centre declared the Typhoon with signal no.8. Hong Kong International Airport had to close from 9pm until the next day morning 8am, every outbound flight was being cancelled and delayed and many inbound flight had to divert to other places owing to the bad whether situation in Hong Kong.
This is the reason why Cathay Pacific Flight Enquiry Centre needed a big amount of peoples who volunteer to stay back and work, answering call from passenger about the flight information and updating them the latest status. Few of my batchmates and I decided to stay back and take up challenges, answering calls & get ready to be scolded by some angry passenger. The other reason of staying back was because the OT pay is quite high, work from 6-11pm and we are able to get extra pay at HKD1150, how rewarding was that! Dinner, snacks & drinks were all INCLUSIVE, save money on a meal and at the same time earn some extra income. =)
There're a lot of calls kept coming in non-stop at the beginning but until 9something, the call was getting lesser and lesser and we took picture and studied there for our Entry Test E-Assessment.
That was such a great experience as we explored something new and communicated with peoples through the phone.
